Dr. Laurent Guiot

Dr. Laurent Guiot

Dr. Laurent Guiot is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with licenses from both the American and European College of Veterinary Surgeons. He obtained his degree and completed his internships from the University of Liege (Belgium). He completed his residency, was an attending and an assistant professor in orthopedic surgery at Michigan State University. Dr. Guiot was at the forefront in total joint replacement innovation by performing the first TATE elbow replacement at Ohio State University. Currently, he runs the ACCESS Bone & Joint Center in Los Angeles performing total joint replacements, including hips, ankles, knees, and elbows, as well as advanced deformity corrections using 3D printing for surgical planning and rehearsal.

Dr. Christina De Armond

Dr. Christina De Armond
Dr. Christina De Armond is a board-certified veterinary surgeon with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. She went to veterinary school in Ireland at University College Dublin and completed her residency at the University of Florida. During residency, she earned a master’s degree involving computer-assisted design and additive manufacturing in orthopedic surgery. She has extensive clinical, teaching, and research experience utilizing 3D technologies in surgery and has presented her work at international medical and veterinary medical meetings. Currently, she is completing a minimally invasive orthopedic fellowship at the ACCESS Bone & Joint Center in Los Angeles.

Dr. Marcellin-Little

Dr. Marcellin-Little

Dr. Marcellin-Little is a veterinary orthopedic surgeon who graduated from the veterinary college of Toulouse in France and is now a Diplomate of the American and European Colleges of Veterinary Surgeons and Charter Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. In addition to practicing and teaching, he has been doing research for approximately 20 years in the field of joint replacement, limb deformities, physical rehabilitation, management of bone tumors using custom limb sparing implants, and biomodeling/biomanufacturing. He has a particular interest in the interface between computers and orthopedics.

John Schlegel

John Schlegel

John Schlegel is a Principal Cofounder of Cartesian Medical with an extensive history creating, managing, and advising American companies ranging from technology, real estate development, construction, and retail interiors & display design.  Most notably, he founded Hamilton Fixture which was a global company that designed, manufactured, and implemented fixturing, retail interiors & merchandising display programs for global retail brands such as Starbucks, Target, GAP Brands, T-Mobile, Sephora, Barnes & Noble, and Procter & Gamble.

Tess Jay

Operations Manager

Dr. Tess Jay
Tess Jay is a registered veterinary technician in the orthopedic department at ACCESS Los Angeles with a unique background. Her initial degree included majors in philosophy and anthropology and minors in forensics and archaeology. After working in the archaeological field, television production, and rhythmic gymnastics coaching, she found her passion in animal medicine. Ultimately she completed another degree and passed accreditation with the help of on-the-job experience and excellent mentorship.
