Technical Recommendations
CT acquisition
The quality of our products is dependent on the DICOM image quality. We recommend CT settings of at least 0.625 slice thickness in bone window. If possible, obtain each limb as an independent CT, collimated to optimize field of interest. Please do not hesitate to contact us with technical questions for positioning or other CT parameter recommendations.
Sterilization settings
Our bone models and guides may be sterilized prior to surgery using the following methods:
- Steam autoclave :Standard gas sterilization technique is safe for all models.
- Ethylene Oxide Gas : Resin guides can be sterilized in a pre-vacuum autoclave at 270 °F for 4 minutes or a gravity displaced autoclave at 250 °F for 30 minutes.
